What games does Arrive support?

League of Legends, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and 2XKO, with more on the way.

Arrive currently supports these games:

  • Counter-Strike 2
  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • Valorant
  • 2XKO

🔨 We are hard at work expanding our library of supported games.

What regions does Arrive support?

North America and Europe. Europe is still in alpha, and more regions are planned.

Arrive currently optimizes connections in North America and Europe (in alpha).

Our Europe servers are still in alpha, so results there may change as we tune them. We plan to expand to more regions in the future.

Will Arrive work for me?

It depends on your internet provider and where you play from. Arrive already works great for some players, and results improve as our network grows.

We hope so. How much Arrive helps depends on your internet provider and where you are, relative to both the game's servers and our network.

Arrive already works great for some players, while others may see smaller gains until we expand our infrastructure. Our network keeps growing as new datacenters are added.

The easiest way to find out is to try it: Arrive is free, and you can turn it on or off for each game.

Should I use a VPN with Arrive?

No. Turn off any VPN or other network optimizer while you play. They can get in the way of Arrive finding the best route.

We highly recommend disabling any VPN or network optimization software while using Arrive. VPNs and other network software can interfere with Arrive's ability to optimize your connection and may result in poor performance or unexpected behavior.

For the best experience, make sure Arrive is the only network optimization tool running on your system while gaming.

How does Arrive work?

We run our own network of datacenters and routes. Arrive measures the paths between you, our network and the game server, then sends your game traffic down the quickest one.

Arrive's technology consists of our own network of datacenters and internet routes paired with our software client. We measure your connection to find the best paths to your ISP, our network, and the game servers.

In addition, we are developing proprietary network protocols that let us continuously improve the stability of the routes.

Why doesn't my ping match?

Games often add a small fixed adjustment and average their ping over a few seconds. Arrive shows your raw ping through our network, so the two can differ slightly.

There are two reasons your ping in Arrive may not perfectly match the in-game ping.

Adjustment Value
On top of your baseline ping, League of Legends adds an additional 6.5 millisecond extra ping in most regions. This is just a flag value they add to their reporting of ping for legacy reasons.

  • Some regions, such as Latin American North, no longer have this adjustment value. Others, such as North America, still have it for about half the games.

Ping Smooth Moving Average
As is common in many games, League of Legends has a built-in “ping smoothing” mechanism. Smooth Moving Average typically takes an average of the last 10 seconds or so of ping.

  • A benefit of this mechanic is that with one quick look at the ping, a user can get a rough idea of what their ping has been for the last 10 seconds without jitter spikes disrupting the visual.
  • A disadvantage is that the user isn’t truly getting an “accurate” display of their current ping, and won’t see jitter spikes when they occur.

As of right now, Arrive does not implement an Adjustment Value or Smooth Moving Average mechanic. What you are seeing in Arrive is your vanilla, raw (standard) ping through the Arrive network.

Note: For Valorant, the Arrive client can only display the ping from our servers to the user. Due to current limitations, we cannot measure your actual in-game ping like we do for League, so the ping shown in Arrive may not exactly match what you see in-game.
